Job summary

DISH Network Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, a technology subsidiary of EchoStar, is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain and optimize multiple database platforms including Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and more.

The role requires 3+ years of DBA experience and rotating night shifts with 16x5 weekday coverage and weekend support. Candidate will perform schema refreshes, patching, backup/recovery, alert handling, and scripting in Shell and Python.

Qualifications

• DBA with experience in Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, MySQL and Couchbase.
• 3+ years of DBA experience in a production environment.
• Ability to provide 16X5 DBA support on weekdays and 24X7 on weekends with night shifts (rotational).

Responsibilities

• Regular DBA support & Maintenance of databases across Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, MySQL, Couchbase.
• Database & Schema Refreshes and periodic patching and security updates.
• Backup & Recovery, Alert Handling, User Management and performance tuning.
• Shell & Python scripting; cloud DBA skills in OCI, AWS & Atlas.
