Responsibilities
- Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet‑related tools.
- Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
- Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identify and debug issues with code and suggest changes or improvements.
- Participate as a member of a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost‑effective and high‑quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Technical Lead with 6–12 years of experience in PHY driver development.
- Experience with Ethernet speeds 1G / 10G / 40G / 100G / 400G / 800G.
- Experience with Broadcom ASICs or proprietary ASICs from vendors such as Nokia and Cisco.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++ and Python.
- Solid debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Hands‑on bring‑up experience and system‑level understanding.
- Ownership mindset with a strong “can‑do” attitude and commitment to delivery.
- Deep understanding of PHY/MAC interactions.
- Experience in low‑level driver development and hardware debugging.
- Familiarity with high‑speed interfaces, optics, and SERDES.
- Exposure to system validation and customer issue debugging.

- Cloud architectures, cross‑domain knowledge, design thinking, development fundamentals, DevOps.
- Distributed computing, microservices fluency, full stack development, security‑first mindset, solutions design, testing & automation, user experience (UX).
