Job summary

UKG in India is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain .NET/C# applications. You will build and consume RESTful Web APIs, write optimized SQL Server queries, and deploy on IIS within an Agile team.

You will also implement unit tests with Moq, work on CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying prompt engineering for AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in .NET/C# with SOLID, OOP and architectural patterns.
• SQL Server: queries, stored procedures, and performance basics.
• Web API development and RESTful services.
• Unit testing frameworks (e.g., Moq) and automation testing.
• IIS deployment and configuration.
• JavaScript / jQuery and Angular.
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• OAuth 2.0 authentication/authorization in .NET apps.
• GitHub workflows, branching, PRs and code reviews.
• AI tool usage like Claude/ChatGPT with prompt engineering.
• API testing tools (Postman/SoapUI).
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Observability tools like Splunk, Grafana; cloud exposure (GCP).
• Kafka or other messaging/streaming systems experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in .Net/C# programming language and extensive experience with Design patterns and principles (SOLID, OOP, common architectural patterns)
• SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance basics)
• Web API development
• Unit testing frameworks (e.g., Moq) and automation testing
• IIS deployment and configuration
• JavaScript / jQuery
• CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on experience implementing or integrating OAuth 2.0-based authentication and authorization in .NET applications.
• Version control tools like GitHub (Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests/code reviews)
• Hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar LLM tools, including prompt engineering
• API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
• Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
• Self-driven and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional and Agile teams
