Software Engineer III, Frontend

We're looking for a Software Engineer III, Frontend to design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend applications that deliver exceptional experiences for Quince customers.

In this role, you'll take ownership of frontend features and technical problems, work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, and contribute to the quality, performance, and maintainability of our frontend systems. You'll also play an active role in code reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has strong frontend fundamentals, hands-on experience with modern web technologies, and the ability to independently solve complex technical problems while raising the engineering bar across the team.

Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality frontend applications using modern web technologies.
• Own frontend features and modules from requirements through implementation, testing, and production.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Build reusable components and frontend patterns that improve development efficiency and consistency.
• Make thoughtful technical decisions around architecture, implementation, and trade-offs.

Performance & Reliability

• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
• Apply performance optimization techniques to improve application responsiveness, scalability, and user experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues across development and production environments.
• Contribute to improving frontend reliability, maintainability, and overall application quality.

Quality & Engineering Practices

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases to ensure high-quality and reliable code.
• Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to peers.
• Establish and follow frontend engineering best practices around code quality, testing, debugging, and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, tooling, and engineering practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and other engineering teams to define requirements and implement scalable solutions.
