Job summary

Talkdesk, Inc. in India is hiring a mobile software engineer to design, develop, and maintain features for Android or iOS apps with exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform code.

You will implement scalable, user-friendly features and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, supported by AI-assisted development tools. We expect 2–5 years of Kotlin or Swift experience, strong OOP/POP and TDD, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of strong Kotlin or Swift (expert on at least one platform)
• Modern platform stack: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, DI (Hilt/Koin/Dagger), testing (Espresso, JUnit, Mockk) , or SwiftUI, Combine/Swift Concurrency (async/await), XCTest
• Regular, hands-on use of AI coding assistants as part of your workflow
• Solid Git and mobile CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Xcode Cloud)
• Working competence on the other mobile platform, even if not expert-level
• Excellent written/spoken English; self-starter, proactive about learning new tools

• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, testing, and architecture decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineering, support, product , to resolve technical issues and understand customer needs
• Work in a modern agile environment: CI/CD, automated testing, dev/stage/prod pipelines (Android and/or TestFlight/App Store Connect for iOS)
• Contribute to the shared KMP module as it's built out, implementing platform-specific pieces against a shared interface.

Required skills:

• 2-5 years of strong Kotlin or Swift (expert on at least one platform), solid OOP/POP and TDD fundamentals
• Modern platform stack: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, DI (Hilt/Koin/Dagger), testing (Espresso, JUnit, Mockk) , or SwiftUI, Combine/Swift Concurrency (async/await), XCTest
• Regular, hands-on use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) as part of your actual workflow, not occasional use
• Solid Git and mobile CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or Android equivalents)
• Working competence on the other mobile platform, even if not expert-level
• Excellent written/spoken English; self-starter, proactive about learning new tools

Nice to have:

• Has consumed a KMP-produced library inside an app (even without having authored one)
• Compose Multiplatform exposure
• WebRTC, VoIP, or real-time communication protocol experience
• Flutter or Dart experience; or Similar KMP/CMP
• Experience building/integrating AI agents into mobile apps
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• Experience on distributed/remote global teams

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
