Software Engineer II- Full stack

Summary:

GHX is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in UI/frontend, backend, and analytics. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, and capable of context switching across multiple projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to develop innovative solutions aligned with company goals concerning functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and realistic implementation timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Frontend Development:

• Develop and maintain user-friendly web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
• Implement responsive designs for cross-device and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.

Backend Support:

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend services and APIs.
• Utilize Python effectively.
• Work with backend engineers to integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Ensure efficient data flow between systems.

Data Science and Machine Learning Integration:

• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate models and visualizations into frontend applications.
• Assist in developing dashboards and tools for data analysis and visualization.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot frontend issues.

Documentation and Learning:

• Document development processes, code, and APIs.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.
• Seek opportunities to enhance skills in backend development and data science.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of software development experience focusing on frontend development.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular. Familiarity with backend solutions like Node.js, Express, REST APIs. Experience with version control systems like Git.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to translate design mockups into high-quality code.
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Technical Skills:

• Experience with backend frameworks and languages.
