Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and implement packet-forwarding features across IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN-VxLAN and related areas. You will analyze and fix complex Linux/microkernel issues while enhancing automation test coverage.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software, ensure on-site delivery from an HPE office, and support ongoing customer satisfaction through solid engineering

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in CS/EE with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong C/C++/Python programming and debugging skills.
• Solid networking background.
• Experience with routers/switches and datapath ASICs.
• Exposure to multi-core software architectures.
• Understanding of product development cycle and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand requirements and translate them into software design.
• Develop complex packet forward features in IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN-VxLAN, Multicast, Firewall/Filter, QoS, DHCP, Services areas.
• Analyze, debug and fix complex microkernel/Linux issues.
• Enhance unit tests for automation and drive innovations with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in solving complex customer issues and drive customer satisfaction.
• Sustain and evolve existing features.
