The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer to join the Automated Content Recognition (ACR) engineering team. The ACR team develops and maintains a highly efficient and distributed system for content identification, serving millions of devices across the globe in real time and processing petabytes of data every day. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable software solutions in C++ and Golang using popular frameworks.

Responsibilities:
  • Software Design and Development:

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust software solutions.

    • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with members of the team to develop efficient software solutions.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Quality and Motivation:

    • Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

    • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements.

    • Demonstrate ability to work independently, when required

  • Monitoring and Incident Response:

    • Set up and maintain monitoring systems to identify and address potential issues proactively.

  • Testing:

    • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software reliability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience in one or more programming languages. Experience with C++ and Golang is preferred.

  • Experience with software development methodologies and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in software design patterns and principles, and professional experience in building large-scale applications is preferred.

  • Experience with debugging tools (e.g., GDB, Delve).

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
