Job summary

Philips in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer II to support HL7 interfaces for EMR and PACS integrations. You will assist in HL7 message validation, mapping, and troubleshooting, and configure interfaces using Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Corepoint or related engines.

The role requires 2–5 years in healthcare IT, familiarity with SQL and databases, and JavaScript; exposure to FHIR/APIs is a plus. Onsite, customer-facing environment with collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare IT, integration support or application support.
• Understanding of HL7 v2 messaging, interface workflows and interoperability concepts (mandatory).
• Familiarity with SQL/databases and exposure to integration engines like Rhapsody, Mirth Connect or Corepoint.
• Healthcare domain knowledge with EMR, PACS, HIS or clinical systems.
• Willingness to work in customer-facing environments and grow in integration and implementation roles.
• Nice to have exposure to FHIR/APIs, DICOM, scripting (Python).

Your Role

• HL7 & Integration Skills: Understanding of HL7 v2 messaging, interface workflows, and healthcare interoperability concepts (mandatory)
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL/databases, and exposure to integration tools (Rhapsody, Mirth Connect or similar HL7 integration engines like Corepoint, Intersystems, Openlink), JavaScript(Mandatory)
• Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Experience working with EMR, PACS, HIS, or clinical systems
• Learning Mindset: Willingness to work in customer-facing environments and grow in integration and implementation roles
• Nice to Have: Exposure to FHIR/APIs, DICOM, scripting (Python), or cardiology/imaging workflows.

How We Work Together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
