Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build, maintain, and enhance scalable software solutions using Python and SQL. You will work across application development, database management, cloud technologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within secure engineering practices.

You will design and implement secure, scalable systems, optimize performance, and participate in architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in Python and SQL development.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and SDLC.
• Experience with databases and application performance optimization.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

The role involves application development, database management, cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and event-driven architectures while following security and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python and SQL.
• Implement secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
• Work with databases, data storage technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and event-driven architecture implementations.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Required Qualifications
