Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Hyderabad seeks a Scrum Master I to join the Commercialization IT team. You will enable agile delivery for marketing solutions, facilitate ceremonies, and ensure alignment across developers, product owners, and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes coaching on agile practices, risk management, and performance tracking in a dynamic environment. Worldwide collaboration and vendor interaction are expected.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
  • Hands-on experience in managing timelines, issues, risks.
  • 1-2 years of technology product development exposure preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data tech (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with global teams (US and other sites).
  • Ability to drive process improvements within agile teams.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile processes (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on stakeholder input.
  • Identify and remove impediments to keep delivery on track and within budget.
  • Facilitate communication among development teams, stakeholders, and product owners.
  • Identify and manage project risks; communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor teams on agile practices and continuous improvement.
  • Track metrics (velocity, burn-down, capacity) to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.

Position Summary

As a Scrum Master I for the Commercialization Content Capabilities team based out of our BMS Hyderabad you are part of the Commercialization IT team that builds best in class marketing solutions to help our customers with the capabilities that help accelerate the solutions for marketers to use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating agile processes: Facilitating agile processes for the development team, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Managing the backlog: Managing the product backlog, ensuring that it is up-to-date and prioritized based on stakeholder needs and requirements.
  • Removing impediments: Identifying and removing impediments that may prevent the development team from completing their work on time and within budget.
  • Facilitating communication: Facilitating communication and collaboration between the development team, stakeholders, and product owners to ensure that everyone is aligned on project goals, timelines, and requirements
  • Managing risks: Identifying and managing risks that may impact project delivery and proactively communicating these risks to stakeholders.
  • Coaching and mentoring: Coaching and mentoring the development team on agile methodologies and best practices to ensure that they are continuously improving their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance tracking: Tracking project performance metrics, including velocity, burn-down rate, and team capacity, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Prior experience working in an Agile/Product based environment
  • Provides strategic feedback to vendors on service delivery and balances workload with vendor teams
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years proven working experience as a scrum master or as an agile Project Manager
  • Hands on experience in managing, timelines, issue, risks is a must.
  • 1-2 years of technology product development exposure is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data technologies on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform would be a plus.
  • Must also have a strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Functional knowledge or prior experience in Lifesciences Research and Development domain is a plus
  • Experience and expertise in establishing agile and product-oriented teams that work effectively with teams in US and other global BMS site.
  • Initiates challenging opportunities that build strong capabilities for self and team
  • Demonstratesa focuson improvingprocesses, structures, and knowledge within the team.Leads in analyzingcurrent states, deliver strong recommendationsin understanding complexity in the environment, and the abilityto executeto bring complex solutions to completion.
