Job summary

Nike in Bengaluru seeks a Software Engineer to join the Global Technology org, focusing on tools for designers across web, frontend, and cloud-native platforms. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver scalable software that supports Nike’s design and creation community.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent, 0–2 years of software development experience, and proficiency with React or Vue.js, cloud architectures, AWS, and testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with React or Vue.js.
• Experience with cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and related tools.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3.
• Experience with Mocha, Jasmine, and Jest.
• Strong grasp of design patterns and computer science fundamentals.
• Preferred experience with AI, machine learning, and data solutions.
• Experience with modern architectures such as REST, domain-driven design, and microservices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable software solutions for Nike’s design and creation community across web, front-end, and cloud-native platforms.
• Build and enhance responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences using modern front-end technologies and design systems.
• Build and integrate cloud-native platforms, applications, APIs, and services using an API-first approach.
• Develop software by participating in Agile sprint ceremonies and completing assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners to deliver high-quality software.
• Support the full software development lifecycle including testing, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Improve usability, performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability across applications.
