Job summary

Medanta is seeking a Software Engineer (Frontend) to design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performing web applications for patients and clinicians. You will use HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript with React, Angular, or Vue, building reusable UI components and integrating REST APIs.

You will work with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA and DevOps to ensure accessibility, cross‑browser compatibility, and robust performance in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 3–7 years of frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (React preferred).
• Experience with Redux, Context API, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and frontend build tools (Webpack/Vite).
• Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards and cross-browser compatibility.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum and healthcare domain is a plus.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern frontend technologies, UI development, API integration, and performance optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in frontend application development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (React preferred).
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar.
• Knowledge of browser performance optimization and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing healthcare or hospital management applications.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO.
• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) standards.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
