Job summary

lululemon is seeking a Software Engineer in Bengaluru to contribute across development and operations from pre-prod to production. You will join a production release team with on-call exposure and a DevOps mindset, owning release pipelines, monitoring, security, and support.

You will work with Java, Python, Node.js, and PL/SQL in a fast-paced delivery environment, collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–8 years engineering experience for Engineer II.
• Experience with AWS and serverless architectures.
• Event-driven architectures and data pipelines experience.
• AWS Lambda, Fargate, S3 and Step Functions experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes (EKS exposure a plus).
• API and file-based integrations experience.
• Code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, and/or PL/SQL.
• Terraform or CI/CD pipelines familiarity.
• Kafka, Kong API Management or similar integration platforms.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS R12, Coupa or other Finance Systems an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Core Responsibilities:

As an Software Engineer, you will help form the core of our engineering practice at lululemon by contributing to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will be supported by a strong engineering group, and established engineering practices. You will be part of a production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. Having a DevOps mindset is the key to success in this role, as Engineers are commonly part of full DevOps teams that “own” all parts of software development, release pipelines, production monitoring, security and support.

Qualifications:

• Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
• 7 – 8 years of engineering experience required for Engineer II.
• Experience in building integration and orchestration solutions on AWS.
• Experience in building event-driven and serverless architectures.
• Experience in building data pipelines and data transformations.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Lamda, Fargate, Storage Services, S3, Step Functions.
• Containerization experience with docker and Kubernetes (EKS exposure a plus).
• Strong experience with API and file-based integrations.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and maintain documentation.
• Proficiency in Java, Phyton, Node.js, and/or PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Kafka, Kong API Management, or similar integration platforms.
• Knowledge in Oracle EBS R12 ERP, Coupa, or other Finance Systems an asset.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.
