Job summary

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop new software from prototyping to testing and deployment. You will work on C++ models, QT/QML interfaces, and collaborate with system engineers to ensure accurate reflections of requirements.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and offers a flexible work setup with global remote options, along with training opportunities and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and E&TC Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in model-based software development.
• Proficiency in C++ development
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of new software—ranging from prototyping and writing functional code to testing and implementation. This role will leverage your knowledge of programming languages and databases. You will collaborate with the team to support various stages of the software development life cycle. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

What you will do

1. Develop software models using C++, modern C++
2. Knowledge of QT/QML
3. Collaborate with system engineers to ensure that software models accurately reflect system behavior and requirements.
4. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to maintain high software quality standards.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in model-based development techniques and tools.
