Job summary

Securonix is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the ThreatQ Threat Intelligence Platform. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and security analysts to translate requirements into robust software.

The role requires hands-on coding across PHP/Laravel and Python, with front-end exposure and strong CI/CD discipline. Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of experience, a CS degree, and a passion for scalable security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; 2–4 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP (Laravel) and/or Python, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with SQL and databases such as MariaDB; familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, and Solr is a plus.
• Experience with front-end technologies: React, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript and CSS.
• Knowledge of AI coding tools and agent integration (e.g., Claude Code or similar).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD development lifecycle and Git version control.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain our industry leading Threat Intelligence Platform – ThreatQ, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability

• Collaborate with team members, product owners, and designers to implement product requirements

• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards

• Collaborate with product managers, security analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in cybersecurity, integrating new tools and techniques into development processes as appropriate.

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and API documentation.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

• Sound knowledge of PHP (Laravel) and/or Python, and object-oriented programming principles

• Experience with SQL and database systems, such as MariaDB; familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, and Solr a plus

• Experience with front-end technologies, such as React, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript and CSS

• Good knowledge of AI coding tools and agent integration (e.g., Claude Code or similar AI coding assistants, MCP-based tool/agent integrations).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD development lifecycle. Hands-on experience with GIT version control (Github/Bitbucket/GitLab).

• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or similar message queue/async job systems

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON

• Experience with testing frameworks and libraries, such as PHPUnit, pytest, or Jest

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes

• Familiarity with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform); exposure to on-prem Kubernetes (RKE2) is a plus

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working in Agile development environments

• Willingness to upskill in SaaS environment concepts and event driven/queue-based architecture.
