Job summary

Lam Research in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Applications Engineer to drive innovation of our software products. You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications, supporting data-driven decisions and seamless workflows across product teams.

You will collaborate with process engineers and stakeholders to translate roadmaps into actionable requirements, write clean code, and implement unit and integration tests, while embracing agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's with 3+ years; or PhD with no prior professional experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in front-end, back-end, data analysis (example placeholders in ad).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications (enterprise-grade).
• Drive adoption of internal software products across Lam.
• Collaborate with application teams and process engineers on planning, data collection, modeling, data analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Understand product roadmaps, process flows, inflection points, software requirements, and business use cases.
• Provide requirements and user stories to product managers and developers for capabilities.
• Act as single point of contact for applications and key projects.
• Determine multi-product workflows or integration including database connections to transform data between application and database.
• Develop clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable application code.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to enhance functionality.

As a Software Application Engineer at Lam, you ll be at the forefront of driving innovation and adoption of our software products. You ll support fast product evolution through agile processes by analyzing, designing, programming, testing, debugging, and enhancing software applications. With your expertise and initiative, you ll turn ideas into great products that support advancements in Lam s semiconductor technology.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the innovation and efficiency of Lams products and services. By developing enterprise grade software applications, you will enable data-driven decision making, optimize workflows, enhance user experience, and improve quality and performance of Lams hardware and processes.

Who we re looking for

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
