The candidate should bring AI-assisted development tools experience, strong coding skills, and a product-oriented mindset, ready to own features from conception to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable features for the IRIS CARBON platform.
• Develop backend REST APIs and Microservices.
• Work with MongoDB for data modeling, queries, aggregation and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.
• Review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code.

We are looking for an AI-first Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our Product Engineering team and contribute to the development of IRIS CARBON, an enterprise platform for carbon and ESG reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in .NET Core, React.js, jQuery, REST APIs, Microservices, and MongoDB, along with practical experience using modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable features and services for the IRIS CARBON platform.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Design and develop Microservices-based applications.
• Work with MongoDB for data modeling, queries, aggregation, and performance optimization.
• Develop integrations with internal and external enterprise systems.
• Participate in technical design, coding, code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and production issues.
• Write clean, secure, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams.

AI is an integral part of our software engineering approach. The candidate should have practical hands-on experience with AI coding and developer productivity tools, such as:

• OpenAI Codex
• Similar AI-assisted development tools

Expected usage includes code generation, refactoring, debugging, test generation, code understanding, documentation, and developer productivity.

Candidates should be able to review, validate, test, and improve AI-generated code and take full ownership of the final solution.

• Database: MongoDB
• Microsoft 365: Office Add-ins / Office.js / Microsoft Graph / Entra ID - experience is an advantage
• AI: AI-assisted development, LLMs, AI APIs, IDP, Agentic AI - exposure is an advantage
