Job summary

Groupe Michelin in Pune, India, is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver end-to-end features across the stack. You will work in an Agile environment with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build scalable digital products.

You will focus on backend services (Java) and modern frontend frameworks, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Kubernetes deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience with full-stack development (Java backend, modern frontend).
• Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, and containerization.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, IaC tools, observability, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications with a strong backend focus and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs with performance and security in mind.
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Apply DevOps fundamentals to support CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker), and cloud or Kubernetes deployments.
• Participate in the full SDLC and Agile/Scrum ceremonies to deliver high-quality software.
• Write clean, testable code and perform code reviews and mentoring as needed.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn ideas into value.

We are seeking a passionate and versatile Software Engineer. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver end-to-end features across the stack, contributing to modern, scalable, and reliable digital products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers in an Agile environment to turn ideas into high-quality software that delivers real business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications with a strong focus on backend services (Java preferred) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions, proposing solutions that balance business needs, technical constraints, and long-term maintainability.
• Apply DevOps fundamentals to support CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and basic cloud or Kubernetes deployments.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Continuously learn and share knowledge with peers, mentoring junior team members when applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or microservices patterns.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, Playwright) and TDD/BDD practices.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace).
• Prior contribution to product development (SaaS, digital platforms, or customer-facing applications).
• Awareness of security best practices (OWASP Top 10, secure coding).
