Qualifications

• 5 to 14 years of experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Excellent coding skills with debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST services.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containers, messaging queues, and design patterns.

Your role

Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.

In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high‑volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data.

Maintain Performance

Prevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimise code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance.

Debug and Test

Find and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyse complex system interactions to keep mission‑critical applications running.

Develop for the Future

Bridge the gap: As an instrumental player in modernisation, you’ll extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud‑based services.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Key Skills :
  Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, Lambda, AWS services( S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, Stepfunctions, NoSQL DB),Python, SQL/PL SQL, Unit Testing Skills, Junit, Terraform- Developer View, Jira ticketing tool, Agile Framework.
• 5 to 14 years of experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects
• Excellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software
• Experienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, Rest based web services
• Knowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), messaging queues
• Deep understanding of OOP and Design patterns

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl
• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
