Barclays Pune is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and improve scalable software and infrastructure within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will work on security, data modelling, and integration with APIs while upholding high-quality code and delivery standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, and stay abreast of new Salesforce features to drive secure, efficient solutions. This role is based in Pune with a focus on robust deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce security and data modelling.
  • Salesforce out-of-the-box features and configurations including Lightning flows and validation rules.
  • Expertise in Apex, Aura, and LWC.
  • Git and Salesforce deployment tooling (SFDX, Developer Console, VS Code).
  • Salesforce Developer certifications preferred.
  • Translating user requirements into functional Salesforce solutions.
  • Ability to assess and implement complex client requirements within Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Job description

Join us as a Software Engineer at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.

To be successful as a Software Engineer,you should have experience with:

  • Security levels & Access handling, Sharing & Visibility, Data modelling in Salesforce.

  • OOTB features & configurations of Salesforce, Point & click customisations & automations (Lightning flows, Validation rules, Approval processes, Flexi pages, etc).

  • Programming in Apex,Aura,LWC (Must have good expertise in building, reviewing & maintaining clean high quality (following industry best practices) Apex classes, Apex triggers, Asynchronous apex, Apex test, Custom API, Integration processes, Aura, LWC pages.

  • Source control tools using Git, Deployments (change-sets, sfdx/sf), Using org utilities like Developer Console & IDEs like VScode.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Salesforce Knowledge.

  • Financial Service Cloud.

  • Hands on experience in Force.com customization.

  • Hands-on expertise of salesforce lightening Aura and LWC components.

  • Very strong skills in Salesforce development technologies including;Advanced Apex (Triggers, Dynamic Apex) Advanced Visual force, Javascript.

  • Integration (both real time and batch) via SOAP, REST and BULK API, Apex Callouts.

  • Data migration using Apex data loader and other data loading tool.

  • Knowledge of a structured change environment, for example in Banking, financial services or with a Fintech.

  • Salesforce Developer certifications preferred.

  • Good grasping power to learn new things quickly and to understand the Client's requirements.

  • Translate simple to complex user requirements into functional and actionable software within the Salesforce .

The role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
