Job summary

Securonix is seeking a Java-focused developer to join our SIEM product team in Pune. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications, building RESTful APIs and microservices while collaborating with product owners, architects, and QA colleagues to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes code quality, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, with opportunities to work with AI-assisted development tools and cloud basics.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of Core Java, including OOP, Collections, Exceptions, Multithreading, and Java design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL), incl. SQL development and fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and Git; basic CI/CD understanding.
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito/TestNG) and unit/integration testing.
• Basic knowledge of containers and cloud tech (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GP).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM services via REST APIs is a plus.
• Strong web/API skills: JSON, HTTP, integration patterns.
• Good communication, Agile/Scrum experience, willingness to learn.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of Core Java, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java design principles.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL), including SQL development and database fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with build and development tools, including Maven or Gradle, Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), and a basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG, with a good understanding of unit and integration testing practices.
• Basic knowledge of containerization and cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Basic understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM services using REST APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and API communication, including JSON, HTTP, and API integration patterns.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, and a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.
