Job summary

CertifyOS is seeking a Software Engineer to scale our core platform and accelerate product delivery. You will build high-quality systems, influence architecture, and improve reliability and performance across our applications.

You’ll collaborate with product teams to clarify requirements, own features from design to deployment, and uphold strong engineering practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and maintaining production-grade systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity.
• Ability to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture.
• Track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments.
• Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, clean code, maintainability).
• Experience with securing sensitive data and PII practices.

About The Role

What You’ll Do

• Improve reliability and code quality through strong engineering practices
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to operational excellence

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years building and maintaining production-grade systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity
• Ability to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture
• Track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments
• Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, clean code, maintainability)
• Experience improving system performance and reliability
• Strong written/verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong code review skills and a mindset of raising engineering standards
• Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response
• Experience working with sensitive data and security best practices (PII)
• Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and MCP servers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices or distributed systems
• Experience building data-intensive or large-scale platforms
• Familiarity with healthcare, compliance, or regulated environments
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems
• Experience reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring
• Experience improving developer productivity through CI/CD and tooling
