Job Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in helping design and build the infrastructure of the systems that run our products and business. If you want to have a hand in influencing the overall architecture, tools, and services of our platform with a collaborative team then this role is for you.

What You'll Do

1. Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship for junior team members
2. Contribute to agile team rituals and processes (stand-ups, groomings, planning meetings)
3. Build the industry’s leading provider data management platform.
4. Help identify high value opportunity areas for the team and guide their implementation
5. Design, develop, and deploy high quality code that exceeds the expectations of our clients.

What You'll need

1. 7+ years developing server-side applications using a major coding language (Go/Java/C#/C++)
2. 3+ years Java experience in a production setting - Java 11/17 preferred - Java 8 acceptable
3. 3+ years building infrastructure with cloud platform services for enterprise software (AWS, GCP, Azure - GCP Preferred)
4. 1+ year experience working with a Master Data Management platform with development experience on at least some core parts of the platform (ex. APIs, entity resolution, data loading, data quality, or data export)
5. Spring or quarkus frameworks such as Rest APIs, Dependency Injection annotations, JUnit, and other java testing/mocking frameworks
6. Docker image build/deployment experience in a cloud setting
7. Embrace a culture of alerting and monitoring
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
10. Willingness to mentor and train other engineers, esp in area of Java and Java coding standards

Bonus Points if you

1. Have experience with a microservices architecture
2. Developed in environments with scalable data architectures
3. Experience in healthcare and/or working with PII
4. Have experience with Drools or KIE
