Job summary

Qualifications

What you'll do

Docusign is looking for a software engineer to join our cloud engineering team, focused on building highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed systems. You will be responsible for designing high-performance, resilient architectures, developing microservices frameworks, and implementing cloud-based data platform systems to support global-scale business needs. You will also work on infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform-based deployments. This position is n individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.

Responsibility

• Develop testable, high-quality, and ship-ready code with ample test coverage

• Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of microservices platforms

• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud environments

• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving system reliability and incident response

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust data platform solutions leveraging modern tools

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java

• 2+ years of working with cloud deployment and configuration tools using scripting and configuration platforms

• Hands-on experience with cloud object storage (e.g., Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage) and/or eventing/messaging platforms (e.g., Azure Event Hub, GCP Pub/Sub), including security hardening, lifecycle management, and cross-cloud abstraction patterns

• Proficiency in managing data platform infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform

• Experience with being part of an on-call rotation

Preferred

• Experience in a SaaS environment and practical knowledge of cloud technologies for Distributed systems

• Passion for exploring new technologies and a proven track record as a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
