Job summary

DocuSign, Inc. in Bengaluru is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Product Led Growth team. You will own backend API development for our e-commerce application, crafting scalable and testable services while collaborating with teams across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, drive engineering best practices, and help shape the architecture of end-to-end backend solutions in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
• 10+ years of professional experience building scalable and testable APIs in C#/.Net or Java.
• Hands-on, professional experience integrating with both internal and external APIs.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code, primarily in C#, that is easy to maintain and test.
• Maintain and develop automated tests for your code.
• Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and maintain the code as needed.
• Set up telemetry and monitoring on production applications and services.
• Be responsible for complete backend development of new features.
• Collaborate across organizations to architect end-to-end backend solutions.

What you'll do

Docusign is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Product Led Growth team. You will execute on all aspects of the software development lifecycle for our e-commerce application. You thrive in fast-paced environments, solving difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. Finally, you enjoy helping the team succeed through process improvements, mentorship, and modeling engineering best practices.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager, Commerce Services.

Responsibility

• Write high-quality code, primarily in C#, that is easy to maintain and test
• Maintain and develop automated tests for your code
• Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, version control systems (GIT)
• Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments
• Diagnose and resolve production impacting issues and maintain the code as needed
• Set up telemetry and monitoring on production applications and services
• Be responsible for complete backend development of new features
• Work with and across organizations to help architect complete end-to-end backend solutions

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Basic

• Experience in designing and implementing high performance Microservices using REST/gRPC
• Passion for learning and working with new technologies
• Experience with product development and building large scale web applications
• Care deeply about writing high-performance, reusable code for components that will be used across our product
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable consumer-facing APIs
• Familiarity with front end web technologies
• Familiarity with SaaS eCommerce and multichannel web marketing
