Job summary

Bay Mortgage Services seeks a hands-on Software Engineer to build scalable data platforms and robust software solutions. You will develop across the full software lifecycle, work with Java, Ruby on Rails, C++, and engage with relational databases and ORM technologies.

Responsibilities include documenting solutions, creating flowcharts and diagrams, and staying current with development tools and techniques. Collaboration with users and teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

• Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
