Job summary

Ingram Micro is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core. You will design and integrate RESTful interfaces, write SQL for PostgreSQL/AlloyDB, and ensure secure, testable code with unit tests.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to CI/CD efforts and artifact management. Chennai‑area candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Hands‑on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases.
• Good understanding of SQL, database design, and data‑access concepts.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or equivalent source‑control platforms.
• Understanding unit testing, debugging, exception handling, and application logging.
• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication/authorization, and web application fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-access components and write efficient SQL queries using PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases.
• Implement clean, reusable, maintainable, secure, and testable code following established engineering standards.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Debug application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement appropriate fixes.
• Use Git/Bitbucket for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Work with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact repositories for package and artifact management.
• Participate in application build, deployment, and CI/CD activities.
• Follow best practices for security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, Product Owners, DevOps/Platform teams, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Use GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Continuously learn and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
