Job summary

Fiery is seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with the team and deliver on software development requirements through the SDLC, ensuring high quality and adherence to timelines. You will own a module or component, design, code, test, and document, while providing maintenance and enhancements and mentoring juniors.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, strong C++ knowledge, OS concepts, debugging skills, and excellent code review abilities, along with the ability to write technical

Qualifications

• BTech in CS/IT/EC with 70% or CGPA 7.
• 2-5 years of experience.
• Proficient in C++, familiar with design patterns and mentoring juniors.
• Strong OS concepts and debugging skills (Windows/Linux).
• Excellent code review abilities and ability to simplify complex problems.
• Ability to write clear technical documents.
• Behavioural skills: communication, stakeholder management, accountability, initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software through the SDLC with high quality and on-time delivery.
• Owns module/component of the project and contributes to best practices.
• Design, code, test, and debug moderately complex software; perform reviews and documentation.

Role and responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer: You will work collaboratively with the team to deliver on the software development requirements through the SDLC process, while ensuring high quality and adherence to the timelines Owns module/component of the entire project. Applies developed level of software engineering knowledge to assignments of a larger scope. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, Code Review and documents moderately complex software. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in the software. Actively contribute towards applying best practices. Gain expertise in certain areas of the overall products and domain. Works with minimal guidance. Explains difficult issues. Communicate between different projects groups and customer interactions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Requirements:

Education Qualification: BTech in CS/IT/EC with 70% or CGPA 7

Experience: 2-5 Year of experience

Skills: (Technical & Behavioural skills)

• Good knowledge of C++
• Knows various design patterns, should have implemented at least few and should be able to discuss the pros and cons, mentoring juniors
• Good knowledge of OS concepts.
• Expertise in debugging windows or linux,
• Should be an excellent code reviewer and have the ability to simplify the complex problems
• Should be able to write technical documents
• Behavioural Skills: (like communication, stakeholder management, accountability, initiative, strategic orientation, learnability etc.)

Desirable but not mandatory:

• Printing domain experience
• Ability to work in a matrix environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity
