Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Java Software Developer with hands-on Android development experience for our Bengaluru office. You will design and implement enterprise backend services, build and integrate RESTful APIs, and collaborate with middleware, databases, and deployment teams.

The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of Java development, strong Spring/EJB experience, familiarity with IBM WebSphere WAS, and a solid grasp of SQL and ORM frameworks.

Qualifications

About the Role

Senior Java Software Developer (Prior Android Development Experience)

Experience: 7-10+ Years

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 Days a Week)

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong enterprise/backend development expertise and prior hands-on Android application development experience. The ideal candidate should have experience building and integrating APIs, working with middleware and databases, and supporting applications in enterprise environments.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8
• Experience with Spring and/or EJB for enterprise application development
• Strong experience in developing and working with REST/RESTful APIs
• Experience in both consuming APIs and providing/exposing APIs
• Good understanding of JMS (Java Message Service)
• Experience with JPA, JDBC and/or Hibernate
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Git/GitHub for source-code management
• Knowledge of application server configuration and deployment, preferably IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Prior hands-on Android application development experience is required
• Good understanding of application integration and communication between mobile applications and Java backend services.
