Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure backend services using Java and Python.
• Build and enhance cloud-native applications and microservices on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities, including speech, NLP, GenAI, and intelligent automation features.
• Design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and service integrations with internal and external platforms.
• Evaluate, integrate, and operationalize LLMs, speech services, and AI frameworks into production environments.
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making across multiple systems.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, observability, performance optimization, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor team members and contribute to innovation initiatives, patents, and technical leadership activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Java and Python.
• Experience designing and developing microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system design, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML, NLP, speech technologies, GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, or conversational AI.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure ML, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or MLflow.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to speech recognition, voice applications, healthcare workflows, or real-time communication systems.
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.

• This version positions the role as approximately 70% Backend Engineering (Java/Python/Cloud) and 30% AI/ML & GenAI, which will attract a broader and stronger engineering talent pool than a pure AI-focused JD.
