Job summary

CBA Cross Border Associates is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Retail Tech team in Bengaluru (Manyata Tech Park). You will develop and deploy high-quality software using .NET Core/.NET 6/8, REST APIs, microservices, and modern front-end tech.

You will mentor peers and promote test automation and best practices across the team. You should bring 12+ years of full-stack experience, strong C#, OOP, and design pattern knowledge, and hands-on AWS exposure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Expert in C# with strong OOP and design patterns.
• Proficient in REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with front-end stacks (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and React/Next.js.
• Strong knowledge of test automation (unit/integration tests).
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.

Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.

Essential Skills

• Experience : Minimum 12+ years of industry experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Development Methodologies : .NET Core/.Net 6/.Net 8, REST APIs, Microservices, experience on .NET is mandatory, streaming platforms like Kafka is good to have as well.
• Test Automation : Proficient on writing Unit test cases/Integration test cases
• Frontend Technologies : HTML5, CSS and Javascript. Also strong in one of the JS frameworks - either React or NextJs (Desired).
• AI Tools : Should have strong knowledge with agentic coding tool for code generation like Claude Code, Open Code etc.
• Programming Languages : Expert in C# with sound knowledge of OOPS concepts and design patterns.
• CI/CD : Any Git tool for source control. Build tools like TeamCity or Jenkins or GitHub Action and experience with deployment tooling like Octopus or similar.
• Databases : Either of the relational databases like MSSQL / Oracle.
• Cloud : Any Cloud offering knowledge is a very strong asset. (Preferred AWS)
• Monitoring : Familiarization with Splunk/Observe or a similar monitoring tool. Any familiarity with performance tooling like AppDynamics is good to have.
• Open Telemetry : Prometheus, Grafana
• Cloud Exposure : Exposure to Cloud and hands-on experience working with any of the AWS Services. Hands-on on AWS Lambda, EC2, ECS becomes an added advantage.
• DevOps/Security Awareness : Developer Awareness to DevOps tooling and security practices.

Bachelor's degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
