Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to high-quality releases and value delivery for customers. You will implement backend services, AI features, and ensure secure, scalable software while upholding quality standards.

You will work with product managers and architects, using Python for backend, React for frontend, and cloud platforms to design robust solutions. You’ll mentor peers and help drive a quality-first culture.

Qualifications

• BE/Btech/M.Tech degree in computer science or relevant field.
• 2.5-5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Python for backend development.
• Proficiency in React for front-end development.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven experience writing unit and API tests.
• Experience with both RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence within the team by establishing good practices and writing clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code.
• Contribute to a forward-thinking team of developers, acting as an agent of change and evangelist for a quality-first culture within the organization.
• Mentor and coach team members to guide them to solutions on complex design issues and to do peer code reviews.
• Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunities and work to either directly affect change or advocate for that change.
• Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support.

What You’ll Bring
