Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design and maintain enterprise data models for analytics and integration. You will build dimensional models (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault) optimized for Amazon Redshift within AWS-based data platforms.

You will define data standards, manage metadata and governance, perform profiling, and collaborate with data architects to shape target-state data architecture across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Data Modelling.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling methodologies and cloud data warehousing.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models for enterprise platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in AWS-based Data Engineering platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support analytics, reporting, and data integration initiatives. The role requires deep knowledge of data modeling methodologies, cloud data warehousing, metadata management, and governance standards.

8-12 years of experience in Data Modelling

Design and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models for enterprise data platforms.

Develop dimensional models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault, and Hybrid Modeling approaches.

Create scalable data models optimized for Amazon Redshift and cloud-native analytics workloads.

Define data standards, naming conventions, metadata standards, and modeling best practices.

Perform data analysis and profiling to understand source systems and business requirements.

Collaborate with data architects to define target-state data architecture.

Maintain enterprise data dictionaries and business glossaries.

Manage metadata repositories and lineage documentation.

Ensure compliance with data governance standards.
