Job summary

BHIVE Workspace in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Software Development Engineer with 3+ years of backend experience in Python, using FastAPI or Flask, to build scalable, high-performance services.

You will collaborate with frontend and product teams, ensure code quality, optimize performance, and contribute to AI-assisted development. Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL or Redis and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development using Python with FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong knowledge of Python and its backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, REST APIs, and web services.
• Knowledge of rate limiting, pagination, and different REST API authentication mechanisms.
• Experience integrating with third-party tools such as HubSpot, Zoho Books, or similar platforms.
• AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) in development workflow.
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining backend systems using Python. The ideal candidate should have expertise in FastAPI or Flask and be capable of building scalable, high-performance applications.

• Proficiency with Git and version control systems.


• Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.


• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.


• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred

• Containerization: Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.


• Microservices & Messaging: Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Familiarity with tools like RabbitMQ or Kafka is good to have but not mandatory.


• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks..

Proactive monitoring and collaboration with team members and internal departments are necessary to guarantee seamless operations at the Centre.
