Job summary

Valeo Service, a global tech automotive supplier, is seeking leaders to oversee software budget execution and drive Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) within projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering leadership and R&D to ensure timely, efficient software design integration.

The position involves mentoring discipline designers, driving QRQC actions, and advancing software engineering excellence across programs, with a focus on sustainable development and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Budget: Responsible for Project Software Budget execution: Execute the Software budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and Software Discipline budget guidelines.
• Support Operations: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the Software discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, Software project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the Software Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader.
• Competencies: Support Software Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution.
• Support Software Competency Development of the Software design team within the project.
• Efficiency: Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
• Collaboration and Influence: Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the Software design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
• Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Budget: Responsible for Project Software Budget execution: Execute the Software budget within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and Software Discipline budget guidelines provided by the Software Engineering Manager of the entity.
• Support Operations: Responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the Software discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, Software project dashboard and KPIs defined by the Group/Division and followed by the Software Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader. Responsible for Software Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project. Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project.
• Competencies: Support Software Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify discipline issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution. Responsible for Project Software QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity Software engineering manager and the relevant Software Experts.
• Support Software Competency Development of the Software design team within the project.
• Efficiency: Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
• Collaboration and Influence: Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration of the Software design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
• Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Discipline Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• R= Responsible in charge of activities/ deliverable - can be shared with more than one person; A= Accountable, in charge of activities/ deliverables approbation
