Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Eng, or related field.
• 3–7 years of native iOS/tvOS development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Apple frameworks.
• Hands-on with tvOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI and tvOS tooling.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of OOP, patterns, and architecture.
• Git, code reviews, and CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Xcode Instruments for profiling.
• Knowledge of Protocol-Oriented Programming and Swift protocols/extensions.
• Strong performance tuning, memory optimization, and debugging skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX Corporation is looking for a highly skilled and experienced SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (tvOS) for its Digital Product Engineering tvOS team. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles and native Apple TV application development using Swift and the tvOS SDK.

Our tvOS team is responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance streaming applications that bring FOX's premium content to millions of users on Apple TV devices worldwide. We leverage modern Apple technologies and engineering best practices to deliver intuitive, reliable, and engaging viewing experiences. With a strong emphasis on application performance, scalability, code quality, and user experience, the team is committed to building products that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

As an SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (tvOS), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining native Apple TV applications. You will contribute to technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-centric streaming experiences.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced native applications for the tvOS platform using Swift.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams to define, design, and deliver new platform features.
• Build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications that provide exceptional streaming experiences.
• Ensure the performance, quality, responsiveness, and reliability of tvOS applications.
• Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, authentication services, analytics platforms, and backend systems.
• Optimize application startup time, navigation, memory usage, and video playback performance.
• Identify application bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code following engineering best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and implement modern Apple technologies to improve development efficiency and application quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Support production releases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer-impacting issues.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of professional experience in native iOS/tvOS application development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, and Apple frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with tvOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI and Apple's development ecosystem, including the tvOS focus engine
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and application architecture.
• Experience working with Git, code review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Xcode Instrumentation tools for profiling CPU, memory, and rendering performance etc..
• Solid grasp of Protocol-Oriented Programming and swift protocols/extensions.
• Strong understanding of application performance tuning, memory optimization, and debugging techniques.
