Job summary

Fox Corporation is seeking an SDET(L2) to join the digital Product Engineering iOS team in Bengaluru. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality iOS releases across devices and iOS versions.

You will collaborate with iOS developers, product managers, and release engineers to implement end-to-end testing strategies, execute test plans, and mentor the team in best testing practices within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years industry experience.
• Experience with XCUITest and Appium (iOS).
• Strong knowledge of iOS architecture, Xcode, and the iOS SDK.
• Experience with simulators and real devices.
• Experience testing REST APIs.
• Experience with Git and CI tools.
• Automation scripting with Selenium/Appium, Cucumber, Pytest, TestNG, mocha/chai, or CodeceptJS.
• Experience with cloud-based device farms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs/Headspin).
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases against our software platforms and applications
• Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking
• Execute white box, black box, and manual testing
• Participate in day-to-day team activities as part of an Agile team
• Engage in cross-functional integration testing within technology teams and with third parties
• Engage in requirements elaboration and clarification with the product owner
• Enhance and extend the automation library
• Contribute to performance and scalability testing efforts
• Provide the testing estimates to the team
• Mentor and share testing practices with the scrum team
• Technical ownership of software testing infrastructure and improving product quality
• Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels
• Work on automation testing for all existing systems
• Support all production releases per sprint
• Research, develop and/or recommend tools to assist the team
• Perform API-level testing using Postman or Charles Proxy
• Working with XCode, ADB commands, and emulator/simulator environments
• Working with TestRail/zephyr or any test management tools along with Jira

About The Role

FOX Corporation is looking for a SDET(L2) for its digital Product Engineering iOS team. Fox’s SDET is in charge of ensuring the highest quality release of our products. You will mainly be focused on building an automation framework for the project at hand and deciding the best end-to-end testing strategies for the product. The goal for this role is to increase automation test coverage so we can perform quick regression testing prior to each release. You will be working in an agile scrum team, responsible for performing various Quality Engineering functions, including designing test plans, bug reporting, and tools development. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure the highest quality of our iOS applications across different devices and iOS versions. You’ll collaborate closely with iOS developers, product managers, and release engineers to deliver scalable, stable, and high-performing iOS products.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Experience testing and automating secure REST APIs testing
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with Git and CI tools
• Expertise with hands-on scripting/coding experience in any automation testing tools (Selenium/Appium), Cucumber Framework, Pytest, TestNG, mocha/chai, nightwatchJS or CodeceptJS
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Experience with cloud-based device farms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs/Headspin).
