Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in India (Remote) is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test II to join the Storage Engineering Team. You will automate and execute tests for scalable cloud storage solutions and collaborate with global engineers to ensure quality and performance.

Qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field, and strong Python automation skills.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:

• Participating in functional and product design reviews, and incorporating feedback into test plans and test cases
• Developing and implementing automated tests for functionality, load, and performance
• Creating and execute tests on new features and capabilities
• Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects and program managers
• Improving our testing and automation infrastructures, define test plans and effective automation

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have experience working in Unix/Linux and developing Automation framework using python (bonus points for experience in SQL/Couchdb)
• Have experience with storage technologies and/or Cloud computing and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
• Be highly responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication skills
• Have passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly and excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
