Job summary

Franklin Templeton in Hyderabad seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to own testing across web, mobile, API, and data platforms. You will develop and execute functional and automation tests, and build robust automation frameworks to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.

The role requires 5-8 years in software testing, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and experience with Playwright, Selenium, and other frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred.
• Exposure to data quality solutions is beneficial.

About the Department:

• The Technology Quality Assurance team delivers enterprise-wide testing services that help ensure reliable, high‑quality technology solutions across the organization. The team combines functional, automation, performance, and data testing expertise and works collaboratively within an Agile delivery model. With an automation‑first approach and growing adoption of AI‑enabled quality practices, team members support web, mobile, Application Programming Interface (API), and data platforms while building modern testing capabilities and advancing their technical skills.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications

• 5-8 years of software testing experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred.

• Exposure to data quality solutions is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Strong automation testing experience.

• Knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or Codecept.js.

• Experience with Python or JavaScript testing frameworks.

• Experience in API, data, and performance testing.

• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle databases.

• Knowledge of LoadRunner or JMeter.

• Familiarity with ICEDQ and quality engineering practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Understanding of Agile delivery principles.

• Knowledge of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles.
