Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our Technology Quality Assurance team in Hyderabad. You will develop and execute functional and automation tests across web, mobile, API, and data platforms within an Agile delivery model.

You will build and maintain automation frameworks, write SQL queries, and participate in performance testing. A strong automation mindset with AI-enabled testing practices is valued, along with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred.
• Exposure to data quality solutions is beneficial.

Responsibilities

About the Department:

• The Technology Quality Assurance team delivers enterprise-wide testing services that help ensure reliable, high-quality technology solutions across the organization. The team combines functional, automation, performance, and data testing expertise and works collaboratively within an Agile delivery model. With an automation-first approach and growing adoption of AI-enabled quality practices, team members support web, mobile, Application Programming Interface (API), and data platforms while building modern testing capabilities and advancing their technical skills.

Core Responsibilities:

• You will develop and execute functional and automation tests.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• 2-5 years of software testing experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred.

• Exposure to data quality solutions is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

• Strong automation testing experience.

• Knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or Codecept.js.

• Experience with Python or JavaScript testing frameworks.

• Experience in API, data, and performance testing.

• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle databases.

• Knowledge of LoadRunner or JMeter.

• Familiarity with ICEDQ and quality engineering practices.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Understanding of Agile delivery principles.

• Knowledge of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles.

• Continuous learning mindset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
