Job summary

SentinelOne is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to build scalable test automation for our AI-driven security platform. You will work with developers and product managers to analyze new features and define test strategies to ensure reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in product validation or development, strong Python skills, and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, Windows internals, and security testing concepts.

Qualifications

2 to 5 years of experience in Product Validation or Development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for test script generation and analysis.
Experience with Endpoint Security products and basic understanding of C/C++ and Computer Networking is preferred.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be tasked with delivering high‑quality products by designing and building robust test automation and related tools. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to analyze new features, define test strategies, and ensure our products meet the highest standards. Additionally, you will leverage modern AI techniques and tools to elevate test efficiency, optimization, and automation capabilities.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

Design and develop scalable test automation and related tools using Python and pytest.
Create and execute automated test cases to validate new features and product enhancements.
Diagnose and debug failures, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define test plans and strategies.
Apply your knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and Windows Internals to drive excellence and quality.
Integrate AI tools and techniques into test workflows, including AI‑assisted test generation, intelligent log analysis, automated root‑cause detection, and predictive test case selection.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

2 to 5 years of experience in Product Validation or Development, with a focus on endpoint validation and automation.
Strong proficiency in Python programming for automation development.
Solid understanding of Windows OS, Windows Internals, Tools, APIs, and Application design.
Experience with testing frameworks like Pytest and continuous integration tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude) for test script generation, test data synthesis, and automated failure/log analysis, along with openness to adopting emerging AI/LLM‑driven testing frameworks.
Experience with Endpoint Security products, a basic understanding of C/C++, and Computer Networking is preferred.
