Job summary

Amazon in Bengaluru, Karnataka is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Selling Partner Financial Technology team. You will design and build world-class financial experiences for Selling Partners and help deliver mission-critical systems at scale.

You will mentor junior engineers, work in an agile environment, and own end-to-end development from design to maintenance, with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large-scale systems.
• 3+ years of experience in the video games industry (supporting title development, release, or Live Ops).
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable and fault-tolerant.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems at scale and speed.

Key job responsibilities

• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
• Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
• Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
• Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor junior development engineers.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
