About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) with 4-8 years of experience to design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs. You will own features end-to-end - from design and development through deployment and production support - and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, production-quality code.
• Participate in design reviews - evaluate trade-offs, flag weak designs, and propose better alternatives.
• Own features end-to-end and drive them to completion with minimum nudges.
• Containerize services using Docker; deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot on cloud platforms.
• Lead code reviews, debug complex production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product, QA/SDET, and DevOps teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Node.js (Mandatory) - strong hands-on backend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Go (Optional, but preferred)
• Strong fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, OOP, and asynchronous programming
• Good understanding of system design
• Cloud - working experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP (Required)
• Git (Required), Docker (Required), Kubernetes (Optional, but preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Linux commands, and basic shell scripting

Good to Have

• SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Messaging queues (NATS/Kafka) or event-driven systems
