Software Development Engineer-II (Backend with Healthcare)

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer-II (Backend), with healthcare domain knowledge. You will collaborate with other engineers to develop services enabling data exchange across the healthcare IT ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build efficient, reusable applications and abstractions
• Identify and promote best practices
• Participate in all project phases from ideation to deployment
• Enhance platform performance, scalability, stability, and security
• Improve engineering standards, tools, and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience with a startup mentality and eagerness to learn
• Knowledge of AI's role in development acceleration
• Expertise in Python and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
• Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL databases like Postgres, MongoDB
• Solution architecture experience
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar queuing services (preferred)
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR or other healthcare interoperability formats
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
