Job summary

MyBillBook (FloBiz) in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, and scale services used by millions of SMBs. You will develop high-performance APIs, distributed systems, and robust data models with a focus on reliability and low latency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimise databases and architecture, and leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining strong DSA fundamentals and handling high RPS/RPM workloads.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Graduates from top-tier engineering institutes preferred.
• Career started as backend engineers, not frontend-focused.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python; Ruby on Rails is a plus.
• Experience building large-scale, high-traffic backend products.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms (DSA).
• Hands-on experience with databases, distributed systems, concurrency, and high RPS/RPM services.
• Experience using AI development tools to improve engineering productivity.

• Candidates should have started their careers as backend engineers. We are not looking for candidates whose early experience was primarily frontend-focused.


• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python. Prior Ruby on Rails experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms (DSA).
