Job summary

Accelya Solutions India Ltd is seeking an Engineer II - Software Development to independently deliver software features and scalable services for 200+ airline customers. You will work on cloud-native architectures on AWS, leveraging AI-assisted development tools, and ensure robust testing and secure coding practices.

The role requires 3+ years (mid) or 6+ years (senior) of software experience, strong C#/.NET, SQL skills, and a willingness to align with US shift hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (Mid-level) or 6+ years (Senior-level) software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Practical knowledge of AI coding assistants and AI-assisted development.
• Strong expertise in C#/.NET for production-grade services and APIs.
• Solid SQL skills with relational databases.
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, regression) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Engineer II - Software Development

As an Engineer II - Software Development at Accelya, you will independently deliver software features and service solutions, building scalable, reliable, and well-tested systems that support Accelya's 200+ airline customers worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver features supporting airline ticketing workflows, including issuance, voids, refunds, exchanges, and ancillary documents.
• Build and enhance cloud-native services and data pipelines on AWS for transaction processing and industry settlement reporting.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by transforming them into cloud-native architectures while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and feature parity through rigorous testing.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues end-to-end and lead root cause analysis with clear, evidence-based findings.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, investigation, solution design, code reviews, and test creation, while rigorously validating outputs.

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years (Mid-level) or 6+ years (Senior-level) of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and serverless/event-driven architectures.
• Practical knowledge of AI and LLM-based development tools, with demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants effectively in software development.
• Strong expertise in C#/.NET for developing and maintaining production-grade services and APIs.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and regression testing) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and handling sensitive data, including payment card and personal information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work US shift hours.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Working knowledge of C++ and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience in the airline, travel, payments, or financial transaction domains.
• Familiarity with airline industry standards and settlement processes, including IATA BSP, ARC, ATPCO, and IATA NDC.
• Experience with XML/XSD-based integrations and SOAP or REST APIs.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating workloads to the cloud.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence.
