Job summary

Amgen seeks a hands-on Salesforce Platform Developer to support production and non-production environments, including Communities and Copado DevOps, ensuring code quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop and maintain configured solutions, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components, and support integrations with external systems like MuleSoft and AWS. You will participate in PoCs and Agile ceremonies in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of Salesforce development/implementation experience.
• Experience with Salesforce Communities and Copado DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration and core platform capabilities.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft integrations and API monitoring.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in ceremonies.
• Knowledge of security standards and VeraCode compliance.

Role Description

This role requires hands‑on experience in Salesforce platform development and deployment, including Salesforce Communities and Copado DevOps tools. The candidate will be the go‑to technical resource responsible for supporting production and non‑production environments, ensuring code quality and platform compliance, and driving continuous improvements in the digital technology ecosystem.

Must‑Have Skills

• Provide day‑to‑day support for production and non‑production Salesforce environments within the GSC–CX domain under guidance from senior team members.
• Hands‑on experience with the Salesforce Lightning Platform (Aura and/or LWC) and understanding of core Salesforce configuration capabilities.
• Experience with MuleSoft, including supporting upgrades, monitoring APIs and integrations, reviewing logs, and troubleshooting connectivity or data flow issues between Salesforce and external systems.
• Support integrations between Salesforce and external platforms (e.g., AWS, MuleSoft, third‑party services) by monitoring jobs, performing initial issue triage, and escalating complex defects as needed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining configured solutions, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components within Service Cloud and Commerce Cloud.
• Participate in proof‑of‑concept activities and support exploration of emerging capabilities, including AI/ML use cases, under supervision.
• Resolve routine support tickets and defects, ensuring timely updates and communication with stakeholders.
• Follow established coding standards and participate in peer reviews to maintain security, performance, and compliance standards, including adherence to VeraCode requirements.
• Work with cybersecurity and compliance teams to address identified vulnerabilities and support required governance processes.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, stand‑ups) and provide updates on assigned tasks.
• Follow established best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability of solutions.
• Operate in a regulated environment and comply with all required policies, documentation, and audit standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 1 - 3 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT or related field OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 - 5 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT or related field OR
• Diploma with 5 - 8 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT or related field

Professional Certifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (required).
• Salesforce Platform Developer II (preferred).
• Salesforce Administrator or App Builder Certification (preferred).
• SAFe Agile Certification (preferred).
