Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Pune is seeking a Software Developer for Train IT to develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications. You will participate in code reviews, work with cross-functional teams to define features, and troubleshoot issues to continuously improve performance.

The role requires 5–7 years of core software development experience, strong Go language skills, familiarity with Docker/Podman, IT security, and agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of core software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) development with experience building performance-critical systems software.
• Experience with OAuth2.0 and tokenization is a plus.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles and practices.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Podman).
• Familiarity with IT environment certificate usage.
• Proficient in Linux systems and networking (Ethernet, Routing, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with deployment on Wi-Fi or LTE networks is a plus.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of transportation domain and train IT subsystems is a plus.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and SQLite databases.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

• Working knowledge of transportation domain and train IT subsystems with associated protocols will be a great plus.
• Familiarity with databases like Postgress and SQLite etc.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

• Hybrid work model available after an initial 6 months’ probation period.
