Job summary

Beghou Consulting LLC is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to enterprise-grade applications on the Microsoft stack. You will work with .NET Core/.NET 8+, C#, and Azure, building scalable, secure software and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional software development on the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with .NET Core/.NET 5+ and C#.
• Knowledge of WPF, ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC patterns, middleware, and dependency injection.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and migrations.
• Strong SQL Server skills including writing queries and stored procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain features and modules for applications using .NET Core/.NET 8+ and C#.
• Follow the team's established design patterns and best practices.
• Adhere to coding standards and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Management, senior developers, and QA to implement requirements.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and contribute to microservices components.
• Write and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures, and support data modelling and indexing tasks.
• Debug and resolve defects, and flag performance bottlenecks and technical debt.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide estimates, and deliver on sprint commitments.
• Keep learning .NET and Microsoft ecosystem advancements.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Developer to contribute to the development of enterprise-grade applications built on the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in .NET Core/.NET 8+ and C#, exposure to Azure cloud services, and a strong desire to grow. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, learning while contributing to scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

We’ll trust you to:

• Develop, test, and maintain features and modules for applications using .NET Core/.NET 8+ and C#
• Follow the team's established design patterns, architectural guidelines, and Microsoft framework best practices
• Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and incorporate feedback from senior engineers
• Work with Product Management, senior developers, and QA to understand requirements and implement them as technical solutions
• Build and consume RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core, and contribute to microservices-based components under guidance
• Write and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures, and support data modelling and basic indexing tasks
• Debug and resolve defects, and flag performance bottlenecks and technical debt to the team for resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide estimates for assigned tasks, and deliver on sprint commitments
• Keep learning .NET and Microsoft ecosystem advancements and apply new skills to day-to-day work

You’ll need to have:

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience on the Microsoft technology stack (strong internships or project work will be considered)
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with .NET Core/.NET 5+ and C#
• Working knowledge of WPF, ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC patterns, middleware, and dependency injection
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework Core, including migrations and database-first/code-first approaches
• Good SQL Server skills, including writing queries and joins and creating stored procedures, with a basic understanding of indexing and query performance
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming (async/await), and core .NET fundamentals
• Good communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Google maps API and Mapbox API knowledge would be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
